The son of a World War Two US Marine, Chad Ehler is an avid military historian and researcher. He studied national security and military affairs at UC Berkeley and constitutional law and jurisprudence at Santa Clara University. He lives on Fidalgo Island, Washington, with his wife and daughter.

This story was great company on a couple of cold rainy Washington days. I like historical fiction but I don't usually seek out war based novels. However, the Battle for Glory grabbed my attention from the start and I truly enjoyed it. Ehler's clever plot twists and turns, coupled with the underlying romantic theme and aviation action, kept me well entertained for a couple of otherwise boring afternoons, plus I learned some new facts about World War II. Definitely worth buying or downloading.Product details

A well researched and written historical fiction thriller. Nicely paced with lively characters and a surprise twist I didn't see coming. It played well with my love of history, but in a highly engaging story. I've recommended this book and author to my friends that share my passion for history and love of reading. Historical fiction is a wonderful genre and it's nice to have another author and more characters to look forward to. A great book for Sumer vacation!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and felt the supporting cast of characters were interesting and realistic. The main part of the story details a rather original and alternative plan for the invasion of Britain during the war - Operation Sealion. It's filled with tension and has an interesting, flourishing romantic thread which adds colour to the overall story. There are some scenes of aerial warfare, very well depicted with accurate detail and authenticity, and I felt as if I was there in that moment.
I can see the author has carried out a lot of historical research and the story contains many interesting historical facts, nicely woven with fiction to deliver a seamless, enjoyable read. The ending has been left open and I wonder if there might be a sequel - if so then I will definitely be reading it. Either way, I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. A wonderful story for any historical & World War Two enthusiast.
